How The Daily Briefer handles your data

Who we are

The Daily Briefer (“we”, “us”) provides curated company filings and summaries. If you have questions, contact us at privacy@dailybriefer.in.

Data we collect

• Account info: email and profile details from your sign-in provider.
• Watchlists and preferences you save.
• App activity: dates/companies you view to generate reports.
• Technical logs: IP/country, device/browser metadata for security and abuse prevention.
• Cookies/session tokens to keep you signed in.
• Optional analytics (aggregate, non-sensitive) to improve performance.

How we use data

• Authenticate you and keep your sessions active.
• Generate and personalize daily reports and summaries.
• Maintain security, prevent abuse, and troubleshoot issues.
• Communicate service updates or support responses.

Storage, sharing, retention

• Storage: Supabase Postgres (managed), with encryption in transit; access is restricted to our service roles.
• Sharing: only with service providers that run the product (Supabase, Vercel, Render); no selling of data.
• Retention: we keep account and watchlist data while your account is active; you can request deletion.
• Backups/logs may persist briefly for security and reliability.

Your choices and rights

• Access/update your profile and watchlists inside the app.
• Request deletion of your account and related personal data.
• Opt out of non-essential emails by contacting us.

Cookies and tracking

We use essential cookies for sign-in and session continuity. If analytics are enabled, they are aggregate and non-sensitive; no cross-site ad tracking.

Security

Data is encrypted in transit; access is limited to service roles and necessary staff. No method is 100% secure, but we apply least-privilege access and monitor for abuse.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the product evolves. We’ll post the new effective date here. Material changes may be communicated in-app or via email.
